Who decides what you are capable of achieving?
Is your level of success determined by others opinions, benchmarks, opinions and beliefs, or is your future in your own hands?
When I ask top achievers this question in my research they almost entirely say things like “I decide!”, or “Everyone has the power to succeed!” and similar statements.
If this true, why do so many of us allow the beliefs, opinions and attitudes of others to hold us back.
What is it we fear?
Success, failure, rejection, loss, shame, or is it something else …….?
I could start a cliche -fest here with quotes like “failing to plan is planning to fail” or “realistic and achievable goals are setting people up to be average - at best!” but (and isn’t there always a BUT !?!?!?!?!??!) …………… they are true !
We are responsible for our level of success.
Mental disease or mental disability to one side (note I say nothing of physical for I could tell you about top achievers who have overcome amazing physical challenge to succeed so there is no excuse, crying shoulder or crutch to be found here) we all - each and every one of us - hold our success, happiness and achievement in our hands.
Who decides what you are capable of achieving ?
Who decides ?
