Heading South? - The Style Bible for women over 40

Who is this book written for?
This book is aimed at any female over 40 who knows her figure isn't what it used to be. Looking in the mirror shouldn't be a disappointment just because we're older. We can still have our vra vra vroom, without being stick thin and wrinkle free. This book shares the tricks of the trade, so being 40+ can still mean beautiful without resorting to the surgeon's knife .
How much did you know about your subject before writing this book? In other words, what qualifies you to write this book?
Lots. I'm nearly 50 and the mirror does not lie. However, being an image consultant means that I know how to create an illusion and make the most of a person's assets. We tend to dwell too much on what we don't like and forget about the bits of ourselves that others would give their eye teeth for. This book shows how to really accentuate what you've got that's great and disguise the bits you don't like.
What makes your book different?
I hope it's witty as well as wise and I'm not afraid to tell my own story to illustrate how bad things can really get!
Why did you write this book?
Most of my clients are in their 'middle' ages but with young hearts and lots of energy. Despite this, many have lost their confidence with the way they look and what clothes to buy (too young or too frumpy?) We no longer look like the women in their 40's and 50's ten or twenty years ago and we have little information about what to do. Magazines tend to concentrate on young, thin model girls and we older women need to know how to adapt the trends so we still look great. This book was my way of reaching a far larger audience than I can on a personal one to one consultation basis. It's my passion to have everyone think that they are gorgeous in their own unique way.
What kind of research did you do for your book?
As an Image Consultant, I see clients every day so was able to use what I learned from them. I have also written 2 other books previously, so my research for those was also useful.
