The basis of my idea revolves around my son who is aged 14 and currently a very promising golfer and has recently made the County squad.
He dreams of going to the USA for a golf scholarship and is currently enrolled with a scholarship agency working towards this.
For the past few years we have kept a log on a day to day basis (we practice 365 days a year in some capacity)
What has come out of his is very enlightening for all those parents who feel they have a potential champion on their hands and how we interpret both our and their ideas of how things have gone and where they will ultimately end up.
In essence I have been staggered by how many mistakes I have made, how wrong I have been in many areas of my sons coaching and what we have both gained and lost during this period, some things can never be replaced. How is it that i can write a page for the day, my son can write a page for the same day yet we both see the same issue so differently?
I would like to turn my scrapbook into two books. The exact same story in every event but one told through my eyes and one told through my sons.
How interesting would it be for the dad/mom whoever to read both ? I found it both heartwarming and incredibly sad to see my sons highs and lows, why had I missed so many of the lows?
let me know your thoughts
