I am a freelance journalist and writer, and have been living in northern Spain with my wife and two young children since 2003. After receiving countless comments from people keen to follow our example, but who for one reason or another never quite managed to make the jump, I decided to do something to help. Hi there.

I'm the author of Starting a Business in Italy: how to set up and run a successful business in the Bel Paese and the co-director of HowToItaly.

I live in my very own corner of paradise on the north coast of Sardinia. Summer lasts six months of the year and when I'm not working, I'm swimming in the sea, drinking frothy cappuccinos or drinking local wine in cheap but fantastic restaurants nearby.

My life has been about moving home and adapting to new places. I moved house and family 11 times in 16 years both in England and abroad before settling in London for 10 years. In that time I have been home owner, tenant and landlord and now have my own property business with homes in England and France. Based on my own experience, I have helped others prepare their own home for selling and achieving the maximum price. I've learnt just what people are looking for in a new home. My latest prject is renovating a large country house in France ready for the next move.
