I have always loved working with people and in Psychology. I started my working life as a Counsellor, then trained as a Psychotherapist and studied Psychology. I later became interested in Coaching and now work as a Personal and Executive Coaching offering Psychological Coaching services. My by-line is 'When Life Gets in the Way of Living' because I feel that so many people get bogged down in ways which limit their ability to enjoy life to the full.
I am lucky to have worked with some very talented individuals and am one of the founders of Cognitive Behavioural Coaching in the UK.
I have written a number of books of both an academic and self-help nature and also a range of articles for professional journals as well as Magazines such as Top Sante, The Lady, The Daily Express and Summertime. I have also presented shows such as 'Dial a Mum' a 25 part series for ITV, Ease the Load, 14 part series for Teacher's TV and Sex and Soaps a 5 part series for Granada.

I am passionate about life and becoming the best I can be (in terms of the depth and richness of my life experiences and any challenges I set for myself along the journey) and helping others achieve the same. I enjoy the fact that there is always more to learn and there are always ways of helping people even better - life is such an exciting journey of discovery! I make a point of surrounding myself with other positive, warm, exciting people - I find it contageous.
I love personal development and have made it my career. I also love reading, my heart leaps for joy when I go on walks in the countryside, I enjoy travel and exploration, I love good veggie food, good wine, good company. I adore spending time with my daughter Sophie who is a constant source of inspiration to me - aren't youngsters so very much 'in the moment' !!! They are so honest and expressive - whether Sophie has just woken up with sheer delight that it is a brand new day or screaming like crazy because she is hungry, it is raw and it is honest - no masks, no pretense at all at her age! Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone kept that sense of wonder, adventure, honesty and tendency to be 'in the moment' all the way through their lives! And isn't life so 'real' when we are living like that!
I believe that success in life starts on the inside - by knowing that you have choice about what you experience, by sending and receiving tons of love, by having loads of gratitude, by paying attention moment by moment, by communicating with self and others effectively, by knowing your magnificent self-worth, by expecting the best, and by connecting with people with positive intention and with a 'can help, can do' attitude. The pinnacle of success in my opinion is living openly and freely as your true magnificent self with certainty that you are perfect in your imperfection.
I have a belief that making the choice to have an amazing life is the best decision anyone can make.
I was a qualified careers adviser who one day decided to take my own advice and change my career! Whilst studying to become a Master practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming I became interested in personal growth and the power of the mind. I went on to make my own dreams come true, using many of the techniques outlined in my latest book, Follow Your Dream. I am now a successful executive coach and life coach and have my own thriving training and development business - check out my website www.people-developers.com
I have a client list that includes major companies in the private and public sector, as well as private individuals.
I have had four books published, including The Which? Guide to Choosing a Career (1998). As well as editing various government careers publications, I have also written for the BBC Learning Zone and was the Editorial Consultant for Sky's Reach for the Sky magazine. I write articles on an occasional basis for various business publications, the most recent being Fenman's Train the Trainer.

I love reading and don't think there's one room in our house that doesn't have bookshelves full of books! I particularly like self-help and psychology-type books but also enjoy a huge variety of fiction.
I am also a bit of a fitness fanatic, as I believe that health is the most important asset we have.
When the weather is right, I enjoy walking, especially around Dorset where I live with my husband. I also love driving my sports car with the roof down (don't get to do it very often as it seems to rain a lot). My main hobby is sitting around with friends over a good meal with a glass of red wine.
And if I'm not doing that, I can be found at our local cinema enjoying whatever film takes my fancy.
