The season to be jolly
Submitted by Cookiecrew on Fri, 02/01/2009 - 11:07pm.I spent Christmas eve (and Christmas day) alone this year, much to the consternation of all my Spanish friends. John was on duty in the UK both nights, and they were horrified. I had eight different invitations to join La Cena Familiar, all of which I declined because a) I am not a family member, and b) I am an antisocial bugger.
I am more than happy to sit in and talk to the parrots. They appreciate whatever I say to them, and respond accordingly. And they speak English.

My Idea
Submitted by Joppa Road on Sun, 28/12/2008 - 7:06pm.I have been a gambler now for the best part of 18 years. Steadily but predictably it has dragged me down to a level where I have lost all I had. I have lost countless relatonships, freinds, and recently had run ins with the police and spent five months in rehab. Still through all this I carry on gambling and destroying my future.
My idea is to give up gambling for the whole of 2009 in which time I journal my day to day feelings as well as reflect on past events and get a picture of what may have made me the way I am.
