Losing My Blogging Virginity
Submitted by Alison Clark on Wed, 06/06/2007 - 12:18pm.
I’m Alison Clark. I’ve been an actual virgin, an IKEA virgin, a recycled virgin and a blog virgin and I’m delighted to announce I’ve lost them all! So here I am shaking out my butterfly wings and preparing to fly. I haven’t read the manual - just making the maiden flight and hoping for a soft landing.
This blog is about writing -and yes, I do plan to publicise my work, but I’m also keen to share my experience of writing (and reading) with those of you out there who craft and graft with words.
Where am I? On the Isle of Bute in the Clyde estuary, Scotland.
I’m going to leave it at that for now except to invite you to view my website www.wordsinaction.net The monthly newsletter* of WORDS in ACTION will continue to major on the business stuff (I run a consultancy in personal and team development - coaching, facilitating and writing). The blog will focus purely on writing - as the title says ‘words words words’ (thank you Shakespeare!)
Writing Tip
Don’t start at the beginning; start in the middle, right where you are with what’s at the tip of your pen - or your fingers. Wondering how to start freezes you - starting frees you!
best wishes to all word wrestlers
