Happy New Year

On a train journey recently, I overheard a number of friends talking about what they had done over the holiday season. One guy said to the others, “have you seen the movie “Déjà Vu?  To which one friend replied;  “ Seen it? I’m living it everyday!”
 
 He then explained, “Here we are at the dawn of another new year and I’m already doing the same old        -“ same old”- again!  I get the same grief from my boss, I have the same arguments with my other half other about the “same old things”. And, I’m sick of repeating myself to the kids who never listen me.  My whole life at the moment is like going around on a treadmill.  Have I been here before?  Yes, everyday!
 
I’m sure there are times in our lives when we can all relate to those feelings. It’s at these times that it’s worth reminding ourselves of the quote: “for things to change, I must change”. 

At the start of a New Year, take some time out to consider how you want 2007 to be different for you. Start to define it, write it down. Consider all the areas in your life, relationships, work, social etc.,.
 
2007 could be your year to change things for the better should you choose. It’s your choice. The definition you give to the word “better” is up to you. The clearer and higher definition you have, the more focused you will be in achieving your hopes & dreams.

“Double O Seven” – is your year. You are “licensed to thrill/chill”. It’s now your choice. 
 
Do you want to consider making some changes in your life to get some peace? Over the next few weeks we’ll be taking a look at some hints and tips on how to do this. Give yourself permission to make some space for this. After all, if we re-arrange the letters in the word “space” we get “peasc” (peace).  
 
I started off this piece talking about a  “Big Screen” movie, let’s finish off   by bringing this to a more intimate space. If you walk down the high street you can’t fail to see the phrase “HD Ready” in the electrical shop windows.  High Definition (HD) televisions use the latest technology to bring you clearer and sharper pictures to improve your viewing experience.  

This latest technology is personally available to you. You already have this internally. The higher the definition you have about how you want your life, the clearer and sharper your focus will be to achieve your Hopes and Dreams (HD).
