Back in Harness

Hi fellow writers-and-readers,

I don't know about you but I'm gearing up to get going after the summer.  Up here in Scotland, we've not had much of that so being positive about the approach of autumn is a challenge especially with crunching noises about credit echoing around! 

You start to feel anxious if the phone doesn't ring.  Your friends talk about tightening their belts.  Yes, there's 'real' stuff happening but it's important not to scare ourselves.  Do I know that it;'s actually affecting my clients?  Maybe some of them have budgets they have to spend on what I have to offer.  So instead of hunching over the PC drinking endless cups of tea, I'm going to get out there and see what's really going down in my patch. 

Anyone else got ideas on this?  Let's encourage each other!
