For example here at Brighter Marketing, we sent out 10 cocktail kits to organisations we really wanted to work. Contained in a bright postal blue tube was the following:

Submitted by Simon Harris on Fri, 05/12/2008 - 6:37pm.Wow! This has been an amazing but overwhelming week. My idea to write a book on Spanish Football led me to setting up a website at www.Spain-Football.Org exactly a month ago. I'd had the experience of basically blogging 90% of Going Native in Catalonia on www.native-spain.com and so when I came to sitting down write most of the major themes were well-developed.

Submitted by timhill on Fri, 04/04/2008 - 12:21pm.
2007 was a turbulent year for Polish property. Vendors in Krakow became over ambitious in their asking prices which lead to large scale decreases in value during the autumn. Warsaw saw the price per square metre of apartments rise 32% before falling back 5% in Quarter three. Gdansk experienced average offer prices rising 15% in the spring but only 4% in the summer. These are to name but a few odd events.

Discovering Poland
Submitted by timhill on Fri, 04/04/2008 - 12:03pm.We all like to travel to a country worse than our own from time to time.We might want to deny it but it makes us feel good. Not conceitedarrogance but a sort of thankfulness that we got a birthplace a littlemore fortunate than someone else’s.
So when I set off to visit Poland for the first time I did not expect to finda country so impressive that I would be making plans to move therewithin 48 hours of arrival.

How many online forums do you subscribe to? And within your list, how many are you a regular contributor to? Forums can be extremely useful as a way of building your personal brand in that particular sector. Whilst it can be time consuming to read and respond to postings, it is an easy way to start to infiltrate almost subconsciously into the minds of the users.

Submitted by paula g on Wed, 05/03/2008 - 2:53pm.Inevitably new clients come to me stating that they want to get into the Sunday Times, Cosmo, The FT or some other popular publication. However, sometimes what would be more effective, especially if they have limited time, is to build a PR campaign around the web. Unlike traditional PR where people either have to remember your name and Google for your website, or snip out the piece about you, online PR means that all they have to do is click through to you. It might not be as glamorous, but it can be much more effective.
