Author News and Book Selling Initiatives

Last Wednesday: Judy sold 185 books, reached number 1 on Amazon's self-help list and
got 28 overall after implementing a second campaign to mark Good Question
Day! She had to work hard at herding all those cats but did a fine job.
Today: Two of our authors, Sue Stockdale and Nicola Cairncross, are
running a webinar at 1pm - all the registration details are here...
OPPS for THE GIRLS

Women's Online magazine is looking for female entrepreneurs to join
their columnists. They also pay an income on the sale of sponsorships
and advertising within your column. Email Rima at

Sue Stockdale has already written for their print mag (which you
can read freee online at www.womensonlinemagazine.com) and
Jo Parfitt's book has been reviewed in the same issue.
www.ExpatWomen.com is also a great place to get yourself and your
book mentioned. Again, Sue Stockdale is the latest of our authors
to be interviewed there about her book. Getting a mention here
has led to other PR opportunities for us so it's worth doing...

If you're interested in sharing this with your contacts then let me
know and I'll give you a detailed email to pass on with pricing for
your book. Just this week we have had 2 enquiries for orders of 100
books each for Sue Stockdale's book. This could make a useful Christmas
campaign (your books as gifts) and I'm sure the extra money and sales
would be nice for you too.
Press: We're keen to get some timely press releases out to help you
promote yourself and your book. So, if you've written a particularly
good and news-worthy blog entry or article recently then please send
it over. As an example, Peter Stanley's blog on "Now's the Time To
Buy Property" made an ideal press release with just a bit of tweaking...
If you have ideas for seasonal articles and/or press releases for Christmas,
New Year and even Valentine's Day then please get them over to us this month.
I know it seems a bit soon but that way we can fit in all the work involved
and ensure we send out articles to our lists in plenty of time.
